5.13 Raptured or left behind?
We will attempt to summarize who can expect to be raptured, and who will be left behind in the judgements of wrath.
Within the wedding hall:
- The first group is the Bride, consisting of sanctified disciples who live in the land of promise (stage 10 in the illustration). These are also overcomers. Through the indwelling life of Christ, these have learned to overcome their own flesh, the world and the Devil. They are further known for their unselfish good deeds.
- The second group is made up of the wedding guests. To this group belong all those who in the last revival accepted the Father's invitation to the wedding. These, however, have not yet progressed as far in the school of sanctification, so that they are not a part of the Bride.
The common base for these two groups is that they have a living love relationship with Jesus.
This love relationship is lacking among those belonging to the two groups below, who stand outside and are left behind.
- The third group had self-confidently believed that they belonged to the bridal congregation. They have satisfied themselves with experiences from stages 1-5 (see illustration), but have disregarded sanctification. These selfish, untransformed "wilderness Christians" have brought such dishonor to the Savior, that he himself has called them "workers of iniquity".(See illustration 3.3 in Series 1)
- The fourth group is made up of those who have consciously fallen away. They have chosen not to repent of their wrong steps, and have thereby denied their Master.(See illustration 2.24 in Series 1, 6.6 in Series 2, and Maxi chapters 7.4 and 12.)
